Artist Statement of Karen McAuliffe

Developing a close emotional connection with the natural world began when I was young.  Intuitively, I capture the contrasting variety of colour, texture and form  through my application of various mediums using a combination of impressionism, expressionism or realism.
While creating my art pieces I am transported into another realm which takes me away from the madness of our modern society. 

I  keep developing my skills as an artist and interpreting the natural world in new and more exciting ways.
